    Step1

    Firstly, fillet the fish if not already done so. Then, in a separate bowl, mix 1 tsp salt and the hot chilli. Add it into the fish

    Then, add in the garlic paste and the lime juice and mix it well. Set aside

    In a separate bowl, sieve in the flour and baking powder. Add in 1/2 tsp of salt, 1 1/2 tsp black pepper and mix

    Pour in the soda water to make a batter. Add in the extra juice from the fish marinate and stir

    Coat the fish in the batter and put it in hot oil. Let it fry for a few minutes until it's golden and crispy. Enjoy with some crispy chips and green chutney!
