What is Masala Fish Fry?

Masala fish fry is a delicious Indian dish made by shallow frying fish in some oil until the outer layer goes crispy and golden while the inside remains flaky and tender. Our recipe is packed with flavours and is super easy to make!

Here's the step by step recipe for masala fish fry. Send us a picture if you give it a go!

Step 1

Clean and wash the fish. Add the salt to the fish and then leave for a few minutes. Wash the fish again

Step 2

Add all the rest of the ingredients to the fish and mix well to evenly distribute the ingredients. Leave it aside to marinate for 15- 20 mins.

Step 3

Heat the oil in a pan on a medium heat. Once the oil has heated fry the fish till its golden. Each side should only take 3-4 mins to fry.

Ruky Tip
Be very delicate when turning the fish not to break it

Conclusion

Garnish with coriander. We serve this with our Curry Khichri and tomato chutney!
